Chapter Committees

Our Chapter’s various committee teams are staffed by dedicated green building advocate volunteers. With their assistance we are able to move the green building “needle” forward in the region by working directly with targeted stakeholder groups or on specific organizational initiatives.

Each team is comprised of a range between 5-20 people. The teams usually meet once a month. New volunteers are welcome to join the teams to contribute / participate. Contact the Chapter if you're interested in one of the teams In 2010, the teams’ leaders have formed a collective General Circle to coordinate each team’s efforts on compiling persuasive case studies, programming efforts, best demonstrated practices. The General Circle meets every other month.

Schools Team Mission: Inform stakeholder group of the cost savings and health benefits associated with green building strategies. Promote implementation of local green building standards for K-12 school systems and LEED certification where applicable.

Financial Team Mission: To assemble financial data, case studies, presentations, and other economically focused resources that can act as a catalyst for those considering green building practices.
