“Use Your Lease to Save Energy and Money” Wednesday, November 12, 2014 8:00 am - 10:00 am Energy Join us for a lively discussion on Green Leasing hosted by COSE, The Cleveland 2030 District, the City of Cleveland, and the D.C.-based Institute for Market Transformation (IMT), to learn how green or energy aligned leases encourages behavior that will reduce energy use in buildings, while saving money for owners and tenants. Many lease structures create separate incentives for owner and tenant, making it difficult to come together on energy efficiency opportunities. The Green Lease Forum will cover everything you need to know to develop and implement your own green lease, including legal, commercial real estate, and local and national policy perspectives. Join us for a roundtable discussion with industry leaders, landlords, tenants, and leasing agents. Briefing materials will include sample lease language, research findings and case studies. The Agenda: 8:00-8:10 Breakfast, welcome and introductions 8:10-8:15 Quick overview of The Cleveland 2030 District 8:15-8:25 Making efficiency improvements 8:25-8:45 High performance leasing 8:45-8:50 Quick break 8:50-9:50 Roundtable Discussion: What are current energy issues? What is reasonable to fix? 9:50-10:00 Wrap up and next steps Trouble registering? Contact the COSE events team at events@cose.org or call 216.592.2390.
