Oberlin College boasts numerous green buildings, including a net zero building that spawned the modern green building movement, a large 2.27 MW solar array, a Free Store, and more. Oberlin College dorms feature real-time energy monitoring with glowing orbs, campus-wide recycling, a walkable campus, and ample green space. Oberlin College aims to be carbon neutral by 2025 and has made noteworthy progress on that goal, including a grid featuring ~90% renewable electricity. Beyond campus, the City of Oberlin intends to be climate positive by 2050 and was recognized as a Climate Champion by the White House just this year.
